For some reason, the TribeCast module works killer on my Blogware site (I use the Typepad format). But I can't seem to put it in a post. Any ideas? eric.blognews.com is my site and you'll see it in the sidebar.
I can't imagine that if it works in the sidebar, it *wouldn't* work in the body of a post, but then again, blogging software never ceases to surprise me with nuance.
Thanks in advance.

Re: Problems with TribeCast
Mon, July 5, 2004 - 10:05 PMum - that's not supposed to work.
You see Tribe cast dynamically retrieves it's info from a server and serves it up.... while most blog posts are static.
I tried sokem experiments with Radio way back when with dynamic stuff. We could get the intial post to appear, but it's constantly going back to teh server to fetch info and....
Well eahc blog tool breaks in a different way for this. Ask Ross Rader....... -

Solution: TribeCast + Blogware
Tue, July 13, 2004 - 6:19 PMWoohoo, I got it to work with Blogware: eric.blognews.com/blog/_arc...05248.html
The short version: Use the blogger module style and paste it into a newly-created <i>page</i>, <strong>not</strong> article. -

Re: Solution: TribeCast + Blogware
Fri, November 12, 2004 - 11:44 AMAlright, I'm not a code person in any way, shape or form (but do adore them) and I"m having problems getting this to work in Blogger. I am following the instructions given in another thread, and the TribeCast stuff shows up GREAT on my blog. It's in the side bar all shiney and new, just the 5 little tribes (not ones I selected but since we can't select that's alright.) However, when I put it there all my blog posts go blank. Help? What am I doing wrong? -

Re: Solution: TribeCast + Blogware
Sun, June 12, 2005 - 8:33 AMSmoooochie... i had the same problem on my blog [olusanya.blogspot.com]. i was using a template that had the sidebar on the right side, every time i inserted the tribecast html my tribes would show up, but my posts disappeared. the only solution i found was to switch to a template with the sidebar on the left.
don't know if this is a viable solution for you, but it worked for me.

Re: Problems with TribeCast
Sat, June 11, 2005 - 4:11 PMI'm having no luck with a simple paste-in of the wizard generated code to a webpage. I'm pasting the following code into a nested table on an HTML page. No other javascript is running on this page. I get nothing.... no text, no characters. Anybody know what I'm doing wrong?
Thanks!
<script type="text/javascript">
<!--
tribe_user = "52ec0863-abfa-4ddf-b403-2f551e189849";
tribe_module = "tribes";
tribe_module_title = "Tribes";
tribe_module_limit = "43";
tribe_module_style = "blogger";
//--></script>
<script type="text/javascript" src="</script>" title="tc.tribe.net/template/pu...</script>">tc.tribe.net/template/pu...</script>
</a>
